350 years of the Paris Observatory: an astronomical celebration

Celebration of 350 years of the Paris observatory. Discover a unique creation, designed to make an impression.

On 20 June 2017, the Paris Observatory blew out its 350 candles. To celebrate it properly, no less than 200 guests including Atawa were there...

1667-2017. The Paris Observatory is 350 years old. This illustrious anniversary was celebrated with great pomp during a private reception that welcomed researchers as well as personalities from the city of Paris.

A big tent in the gardens

The festivities began in the gardens of the Observatory, under a large 210m2 reception tent with crystal curtains to let in natural light. Beforehand, Atawa had made a 3D plan to find the ideal location, at the foot of the majestic building... Speeches and films retracing the great history of the Observatory were made with the help of a podium, a large screen and a sound system installed by the technical team.

A fast and responsive team

After the beautiful journey through time, the guests went to the Observatory's main hall to listen to a sublime classical music concert. The guests then moved to the gardens to hear a speech by the master of these old walls, the director of the Paris Observatory, Claude Catala. Meanwhile, Atawa's technical team hastened to remove the 200 chairs from the concert before the guests went back up for the cocktail party...

Mission accomplished, once again for Atawa.
