Building a village for a race in Paris
Vertigo? What is it? The first French vertical race, on the stairs. On 18 May, the fifth edition took place at the Tour First, the highest skyscraper in France, in the heart of La Défense. 1100 runners climbed the 48 floors, 230 metres and 954 steps of the building. This solidarity action raised 125,890 euros for Play International and its education through sport programmes. The Atawa village was downstairs, in the starting blocks...
About fifteen tents on the esplanade
Atawa proposed a tailor-made layout for the ephemeral sports village. Different tents: four 25 m2 pagodas and three 9 m2 tents to house the partner companies that presented their activities and their involvement in the solidarity race. The floor of each partner tent was covered with a carpet in the company's colours to ensure clear visibility. For the runners, eight other 9 m2 pagodas were available, offering physiotherapists, changing rooms, a stand for handing over the lockers and race numbers, and bars (after the effort, the comfort). The queen tent was of course the one that housed the podium with the Arc de Triomphe in the background, as if by chance...

A village of Gallic diehards
Thanks to the possibilities of shelter and comfort provided by Atawa, the atmosphere was great despite the rain that was present throughout the event. All the tents were weighted down, so that they could withstand strong winds and storms without any problems. Vertigo also liked Atawa for its flexibility and extraordinary adaptability. A very responsive team, able to respond to changes in plans right up to the last minute! And even on D-Day, three members of Atawa were there, making sure that everything went smoothly until the end.
